Recognition for an emerging technology business

VAR LIVE received a Rising Star award in the 2019 Deloitte Hong Kong Technology Fast and Rising Star programme. Cyberport’s November 2019 newsletter names VAR LIVE among its recognised companies and identifies its field as esports.

The Rising Star category highlighted younger businesses with promising growth potential. Recipients were listed without ranking, separately from the programme’s ranked Technology Fast category.

Part of Hong Kong’s technology community

The awards brought together businesses working across a broad range of technologies. Cyberport reported that 13 companies from its community received recognition across the programme’s categories, including businesses in insurance technology, education, engineering and interactive media.

For VAR LIVE, the recognition placed VR and esports entertainment within that wider technology landscape. It is a milestone in the company’s development, connecting its work in immersive experiences with Hong Kong’s emerging technology community.
