A milestone in immersive technology

The awards dinner took place on 21 March 2024 at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur. The event brought together recipients from the Technology Excellence Awards and the Malaysia National Business and International Business Awards programmes.

For VAR LIVE, the recognition marks a milestone in the development of immersive experiences: software, digital content and physical interaction working together as a complete experience.

Connecting virtual worlds with physical interaction

Creating a virtual environment is one part of the work. How people move through it, interact with it and share it with others shapes the experience just as much as what appears on screen.

VAR LIVE brings game development, interactive hardware and system integration together. Digital environments provide the setting, software defines the interaction, and the surrounding equipment connects those interactions to a physical space.

This approach links the work of VAR LIVE Media, VAR BOX Technologies and VAR LIVE Parks. Content creation, arcade platforms and venue experiences are connected parts of the wider business.

Recognition within a broader technology landscape

The Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards cover technology applications across multiple industries. The AR and VR category gives immersive technology its own place within that landscape.

The 2024 award is a record of recognition at that point in VAR LIVE’s development. Today, visitors can explore the company’s related capabilities through its games, platforms and venue projects.
